Skills for Work

What we offer

Skills for Work is for anyone with a disability aged 18 and over, providing realistic work experience opportunities to enable people to step into volunteering, self-employed or employed work. 

A 47-week programme costs from £40 per day with bespoke placements also available, totally inclusive of support.

We also offer companies the opportunity to sponsor a placement, allowing them to undertake the company's work at UET locations.

Keeping Skills Alive

We offer the opportunity to build on skills learned in education and develop new skills that support the workplace.

Skills for Work provides exposure to different work skills such as:

  • Online sales 
  • Admin 
  • Logistics 
  • Electrical testing (PAT)
  • Care work
  • Catering
  • Retail
  • Customer Service
  • Horticulture
