Welcome to Horizons College
I would like to warmly welcome you to Horizons College. Horizons College is a unique provision where students are guided along their personalised paths to independence and interdependence. It is always wonderful to see our learners making progress, making friends and making choices about their lives.
Our learners are at the heart of everything we do. The curriculum is highly personalised to help our learners achieve their goals. Learners are guided and supported by highly committed and friendly staff.
The College is based over two campuses, the Segal Centre and our recently opened Vocational Centre at Headlands. The college offers lots of opportunities to learn and progress through a range of learning environments such as our charity shops, farm provision, Maryfield residential as well as through partnerships with local employers.
We welcome 57 learners to the college this September who will be supported by approximately 35 academic staff who are involved in teaching and supporting them. This means that classes are small and learners have the right level of support.
Horizons College is currently undergoing a gentle transition to rename and re-brand to Horizons College. The change of name and branding will give the college its own identity and the ability to establish itself as a credible provider of education for Swindon. This is to give learners time to adjust to the new name and signage. We are also in the process of creating a new website and brochure.
I personally aim to make sure that every learner at the college is supported, fulfils their potential and enjoys their time with us.
We are always happy to meet with parents and carers and offer the right guidance and support for them. We really hope you become part of our college family and look forward to working with you. Please follow the link to find out more on the Horizons College website - Horizons College
