Helping young people with special educational needs to help themselves

About our Shops

The Redhouse shop was our first charity shop which opened in 2012. As well as a great selection of ladies and children’s clothes, home ware, accessories and media we also have a coffee shop selling light snacks, cake and a selection of teas and coffee. We pride ourselves on our high-quality stock which is replenished daily so there is always a bargain to be found!

Being so close to Uplands school, Redhouse shop has classes of students in throughout the day Monday to Friday. Using their retail work experience books the students complete tasks such as quality control, housekeeping, cash handling and visual merchandising.

Gorse Hill is our second shop which opened in December 2015. As well as the great selection of adult clothing and accessories, we have a large home ware area including soft furnishings and small items of furniture.

In May 2017 Uplands Educational Trust opened a second shop in Gorse Hill which is now our Kitchen shop. We have a wonderful selection of kitchen equipment and tableware with some fabulous quality names from Wedgewood to Cath Kidston. Our kitchen shop is also our showcase of products grown and created at the UET farm including potted herbs and pickles.

October 2017 was the launch of our Children and Baby shop – again in Gorse Hill on Camdale Parade. This is a lovely big shop stocked with everything you could need from maternity wear, baby to teenage clothing, baby equipment,  toys, children’s books and DVDs.

We launched our latest shop in Regent Street within the Brunel Centre mid-December 2017. A wonderful large shop that specialises in our upper end of ladies and gents clothing and accessories as well as a home ware section that caters for the more individual taste.

Please do come and have a browse - we look forward to seeing you in one of our shops soon.
